This is part 2 of the model making of the french fishing boat “La Provencale”.
Remarks on this construction section
Things I learned during model making of the french fishing boat “La Provencale” are listed on the homepage under “Insights of model making”.
These are things that are actually quite obvious, but which I hadn’t paid enough attention to.
For example, one of the ship’s frames broke, but I was able to glue it back on afterward. I also show this in the video you will find below.
I documented the construction of part 2 also in a gallery and on video and show the work steps in detail.
Some pictures are also published at my facebook account and at my instagram account..
Part 2 covers the following topics:
– Gluing the planks on the opposite side
– Attaching the keel
– Assambling the ship stand
– Preparing the bow and stern
– Removing the ship from the slipway and cleaning it
– Testing the bow an stern, the railings, and the keelhog
– Attaching the bow and stern
– Filling holes and gaps with filler
– Modeling the stem
– Priming the hull
– Painting the hull
– Setting the waterline
– Painting the underwater ship
– Painting stem and upper hull
